About

Where heritage meets a new way to gather
The Linen Yard is more than just a food and social space — it’s a place shaped by history.
Set within Greenmount Industrial Estate in Harold’s Cross, this space was once part of a working industrial hub, home to mills, machinery and local industry that played a role in Dublin’s past.
Today, that same space has been reimagined into something new — a relaxed, open environment built around food, community and shared experiences.
A space with a story
For decades, this area was home to working mills and production sites, including the Greenmount & Boyne Linen Company and surrounding industrial works.
The images below capture moments from that time — from factory floors and machinery to the people who worked here and the businesses that once operated on this very ground.
While the industry has moved on, the character of the space remains — and that history is part of what makes The Linen Yard what it is today.
Reimagined for today

What was once a place of work has now become a place to slow down, meet and enjoy.
The Linen Yard brings together independent food vendors, coffee, casual dining and a social outdoor setting — creating a space that feels open, welcoming and easy to be part of.
It’s designed for everything from a quick coffee to long afternoons with friends, with plans to grow into a wider lifestyle space including wellness, events and community-led experiences.
